Alexandra Gardens in Windsor is a beautiful place to go with the family if you’re thinking of a trip to Windsor. Located right beside the river, with Windsor Castle as a back drop it’s a beautiful setting. It’s just a few minutes walk from Windsor & Eton Riverside train station and also walkable from Windsor Central train station.
Alexandra Gardens Features
There are lovely pathways to walk through next to the river which are suitable for small bikes and scooters. Have fun spotting the Hawker Hurricane aircraft replica.
Toddlers will love the mini amusement area (pay per ride) with various small rides. There is also a mini golf area.
Carry on to The Goswells area across the road where there is a fountain and a flat maze to run around. You can then carry on up to the Castle and main shopping streets.
Alexandra Gardens Facilities
There are two cafes in the Gardens area. There is one by the amusements with bike hire. The Garden Cafe is at the opposite end towards the Castle. There are loads of family friendly restaurants around the Castle and in the Central Station area.
Windsor Swimming Pool is also only a few minutes walk away.
