There are two art classes for kids of different ages groups held at the River & Rowing Museum in Henley on Saturdays during term time. The artclasses take inspiration from the Museum, its collections and temporary exhibitions.
7-11 Year Olds
The session for 7-11 year olds runs from 10.30 am until 12.30pm. The children have the opportunity to experiment with different media including painting, drawing, 3D and printmaking. They are introduced to different artists and encouraged to discuss their ideas and opinions.
11-15 Year Olds
The session for 11-15 year olds runs from 2pm until 4pm. The students work over several months to achieve their Arts Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold level. They have opportunities to experiment with different skills including screen printing, clay modelling and 3D construction, painting, drawing and textiles. As part of the Award, the students research and also write reviews of arts events or exhibitions.
Advance booking must be made for the course by contacting the Museum on 01491 415605 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
