The Athlectics Academy with Dean Macey will take place at Tilsey Park in Abingdon on 31st July to 3rd August (4 days) and 14th to 17th August (4 days).
Amazing opportunity for boys and girls aged 7-16 years to improve in Track and Field athletics, taking part in the full range of athletic events with expert coaching from Dean Macey and his coaching team applying modern training methods.
Dean Macey was England’s leading decathlete for a decade. His first major triumph was a silver medal in the 1999 World Championships, which helped him win the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Award in that year.
The following year, he was fourth in the Sydney Olympics, and followed that with a World Championships Bronze Medal in 2001. He was again fourth in the Athens Olympics, before winning the Gold medal in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He has a personal best of 8,603 points.
