A 6 week course of gentle stretches for mums from Birth Baby Balance.
This course focuses on finding, and then activating, the oh-so-important pelvic floor muscles, incorporating a range of gentle stretches to help mum strengthen her core muscles. Combined with relaxation skills, this is a perfect stepping stone back into exercise.
We build up strength slowly from week to week, combining elements of yoga and pilates, incorporating floor work, ball work and sometimes even using the babies themselves! This is most definitely not a high energy cardio vascular work out, but rather a gradual re-introduction to finding and engaging those essential pelvic floor and core muscles – they’re there somewhere!
The focus is on fun and relaxation – it gives you a chance to unwind, de-stress and share with other new mums, whilst learning some simple moves that you can do at home when you are playing with/caring for your baby.
Suitable from 6 weeks post birth (8 weeks post Caesarean) – the sooner you can come, the better. No need for childcare, baby comes too!
