Dandelions Baby & Toddler Group was founded in May 2008 and is a weekly drop-in singing and social group for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and their carers.
They meet every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm in the Baptist Church Hall in Lower Wolvercote, Oxford.
Their aims are: to provide community, friendship and support for carers of young children; to provide a meeting place for young children to interact with each other; to promote musicality in the very young; and to provide stimulation for young children.
Dandelions is an excellent place for parents and carers to meet each other and to set up support networks which extend outside the drop-in. they also provide a meeting place where children who will eventually attend school together can begin the process of forging friendships, and learn social skills such as group participation and sharing.
Stimulating toys and craft activities help the cognitive development of young children. The emphasis on music and singing at Dandelions also assists in both musical development and language acquisition in young children. Drop in for a cuppa and a friendly chat soon; they look forward to seeing you!
