Forest Tots at Hill End provides drop in sessions for Babies and Toddlers from 6 months to 5 years old.
It is hoped that the children will learn and grow from this valuable chance to explore some of the exciting areas here.
We encourage making use of the different, exciting areas across the Hill End 65 acre site.
The approach is that the best kind of learning for a young child is through their own explorations, interests and play activities.
So how can you let your own child learn best in the outdoors? These are some of the ways to support your child:
Stand back and watch your child to see what they are interested in
Join in and play with your child if they want you to
Support their ideas and develp them further in new and interesting ways without taking over
Do not worry if your child seems bored, it is important to allow them a bit of time to use their own imagination
If they do need a bit of support then please feel free to model a new activity to them such as building a stick house for a small favorite toy or imaginary creature such as a fairy.
