The Leys Recreation Ground in Witney is a fantastic park with lots for all the family to enjoy.
As well as the lovely open grassy space where you can picnic, fly a kite or kick around a ball, there is also a great playground and lots of other facilities.
The Leys Splash Park & Adventure Area
With a high sided fence so you’re kids don’t wander off, there’s lots packed into the playground park of the Leys. Perfect for older kids, is the impressive, huge and breath taking climbing frame. My eldest scaled it in seconds and I’m glad I didn’t have to climb up to get him.
There are also lots of other playground attractions from swings and slides to mini wooden houses and a see saw.
It was a really hot sunny day when I visited with my kids and luckily we had brought a towel and swim shorts as the splash park proved to be lots of fun. Jets of water shoot up and all the kids at the park were having a great time. The splash park opening times for 2017 are 7th April to 3rd September from 10am to dusk.
Other Activities at The Leys, Witney
There are also tennis courts, a skateboard ramp and crazy golf at the Leys Recreation Ground in Witney. You can hire the golf clubs and balls from The Coffee Shed, a lovely community café on the grounds and it was great value too. If you fancy a bite to eat or an ice cream then The Coffee Shed is the place to go.
