Upton To Didcot Art Trail Bike Ride

The Upton to Didcot Art Trail makes a lovely family bike ride (or walk).  There’s a great playground at the start, a car-free trail all the way to Didcot as well as some beautiful countryside and some interesting art benches along the way. The full ride from Upton to Didcot is around 3-4 miles.

Park at Upton Playground.  There’s a brilliant playground for older children here (including a pump track for bikes).  To access the Art Trail, head across the park to the far left corner and you’ll find a steep track leading out of the park.  Follow the track along for a few minutes then head through the metal gates which will lead you onto the tarred section and you can follow the signs to Didcot.

Along the way, you can stop for a snack at the art installations and enjoy the lovely views.

If you make it all the way to Didcot, you can follow the cycle path on down towards the train station and on to the town centre (there are car free paths all the way).  There are several recommended family-friendly spots to go for a coffee or a bite to eat in Didcot centre, including Cornerstone Arts Centre and Boswells.
