Carrdus School is an independent day prep school for girls 3 – 11 and boys 3 – 7, just outside Banbury on the borders of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. They are a small and friendly country school owned by Tudor Hall School.
Carrdus School offer academic rigour with adventure and imagination at their heart and their aim is to give every child a really happy and confident start to school life.
Children can be children at Carrdus. By focusing on the individual and enabling them to follow the Carrdus Pathway, every child can flourish and grow at their own pace. Strong, supportive relationships are built with all the boys and girls, helping them to develop to their full potential both personally and academically. As a result the children quickly become independent, confident and resilient individuals; happy to have a go and do their best. They are imaginative, aspirational and empathetic; getting on easily with those around them and sensitive to their differing needs.
All children are different. At Carrdus School they encourage them to discover hidden talents and new-found abilities by providing them with a wide range of opportunities, both in and out of the classroom.
The beautiful grounds are a big part of Carrdus School. Life outdoors is as important as it is inside; from outdoor learning and sport to just being children enjoying tree climbing, den building and gardening to name but a few. You can look at the website, read the prospectus but choosing a school is like looking for a home; it’s not until you step through our front door that you will sense what is impossible to capture in a website alone – the excitement, the intangible and the possibilities.
