Design Build Race engineering holiday camps are a unique opportunity for your child to learn about engineering, science and team work. It’s a hugely rewarding experience – building and then racing an electric car!
At Design Build Race (DBR) children, in teams of 4 and supervised by 1 tutor, will build their own car – designing and implementing its appearance. Each day, children learn about relevant aspects of science and engineering, such as speed, forces, aerofoils and gears – through simple hands on experiments.
They will also spend two days racing their car against the other teams on the camp with straight speed trails, slaloms and parking challenges.
Suitable for girls & boys aged 8 to 11 year the holiday club is held at St Edward’s School in north Oxford.
