If you’ve ever wondered what Gulliver felt like in Lilliput then head for the amazing Bourton Model VillageThis one-ninth scale model of Bourton-on-the-Water crafted by artisans from local Cotswold stone and it’s the only grade II listed model village in the country.  It’s also a snoopers paradise where you’re actively encouraged to peer into all the different buildings as you wander the quaint lanes!  You can even hear the choirs singing in the tiny model church!

If you thought museums were boring – think again!  At the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum you can discover what life would have been like in times gone by with immersive experiences like a recreated Great War trench to the life of a 21st century soldier!  Lose yourself (or the kids) in one of the dens where art, quizzes, dressing up and code breaking are the order of the day or have a go at learning some wartime skills in one of the nostalgia trails.

Did you know the Cotswolds was one of the few places you can still spot dinosaurs?!  They’ve set up home at Birdland Park and Gardens and you’ll have hours of fun following the Jurassic Journey trail armed with special dinosaur tracker kits discovering more about these direct descendents of our birds.  There are daily feeding displays and don’t miss the Birdland Nursery where you can watch eggs hatching and see chicks taking their first steps.

Discover what the Romans did for us at the Corinium Museum in the heart of beautiful Cirencester!  The town that began life as a fort, Corinium Dobunnorum went on to become the capital of Britannia Prima making it a goldmine for historic finds and treasures – now housed in newly refurbished light and modern galleries.  Interactive experiences let you journey through time exploring the stories behind the amazing array of artefacts.
