I had my first experience of the Illuminated Light Trail a few years ago at Blenheim Palace and have been a regular ever since.  The Blenheim Palace Christmas lights were an absolutely amazing experience which my kids loved too and I was really excited to have an early visit for 2023.  Lots of photos below!

The Christmas Lights at Blenheim Palace are now considered one of the best UK light trail experiences.  Each year they change it up a little with a different route and include a mix of LED lights, lasers, fire and all set to festive tunes.

There’s lots of variety too as you follow the trail through the majestic trees.

With over a million lights, lasers and seasonal sounds it’s very impressive.

There are plenty of photo opportunities too with the popular glittering tunnel of light as well as lots of other glittery archways.

One of my favourites but impossible to capture on an iphone was a huge ball of moving lights with a circular walk around it.

The highlight had to be the spectacular display of fountains, moving with the music and wonderful coloured lights.  You can stop here with tables & chairs undercover and food and drinks stalls too.

You’ll even meet Father Christmas along the way, who’s dressed in the most wonderful traditional outfit.

Shortly before you reach the end, they have a wonderful post office with letters to Santa moving up a conveyor belt and project shadow outlines of elves busy at work behind the windows.

How much does Blenheim Palace Christmas Lights Trail Cost?

Booking in advance is essential and parking (admission only very slightly cheaper for annual pass holders with £1 discount)

Children 3-16 years £19.50, Adults £26.50, Family Ticket (2 adults + 2 children) £89

You need to book parking too if required at £10.  There are also fairground rides and 4 tokens can be purchased in advance for £12.

Off Peak Prices Children 3-16 years £14.50, Adults £19.50, Family Ticket (2 adults + 2 children) £65
