Growing in popularity every year are the Earth Trust lambing weekends. They run on two weekends every year.
The Earth Trust will be open from 10am-4pm on the weekends of 23rd-24th and 30th-31st March for their lambing weekends. The Farm Step tenants will be in attendance with the newborn lambs, piglets and goats, and will be on hand to answer any questions. There will also be a range of activities for children of all ages including bale climbing, tractor & trailer rides (weather permitting), children’s farmyard area, and a selection of trade stands.
The Poem Tree Café will be open serving a selection of refreshments including jacket potatoes, soup, cakes, light snacks and hot & cold drinks. The Emma’s Ewesful Acres BBQ will also be in attendance.
Tickets can now be purchased from their website – the main page for our Lambing Festival is here, and then you can select the relevant date using the menu on the right hand side. No physical tickets are issued; there will be a list of pre-booked tickets for each day on the gate.
Tickets price are as follows (children age 2 and under enter free of charge):
|Tickets||Online (available until midnight night before)||On the gate|
|Family (2 adults & 2 children)||£19||£22|
Don’t forget your wellies!
They can easily accommodate the number of people visiting each year and are always very organised with parking assistants etc. However, it does get busy so I’d recommend getting there as early as you can.
Please be aware: pregnant women and those who are immunocompromised are advised not to enter the lambing shed.
