Feb Half Term Activities in Gloucestershire 2020

February Spring Half Term can be one of the trickiest of the school holidays to find activities to keep your kids happy. The excitement of Christmas has gone and the weather tends to be damp and cold. Fear not, I’ve pulled together lots of February Half Term activities to fill everyday in Gloucestershire. From Cheltenham to Gloucester and Stroud to Cirencester, there’s lots on for all ages.

Puddle Jumping Championships at Slimbridge Wetland Centre
Get your wellies and waterproofs on and jump into the puddles for a chance to be the ultimate splasher. They’ll be looking for the biggest splash, and most enthusiastic, stylish jumpers. Find out more.
Secret Spies at Sudeley Castle 17th Feb
Solve the Sudeley mystery this February Half Term by completing a trail of puzzles, codes and riddles. Pick up a discovery sheet and while exploring the castle, use the items you find along the way to try to decode seven specially designed clues. Find out more.
Family Yoga Fund Raiser 17th Feb (South Cerney)
Come and join Caroline Brookes for some family yoga at Fentons. Open to all ages – you’ll have a good stretch, practise a few poses and try some partner work – a great opportunity to have fun with your children, siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Cheltenham Big Wheel
As part of Light Up Cheltenham 2020 where 30+ of the town’s Regency buildings will be illuminated in colour, there will be a 35m observation wheel installed in Imperial Gardens. The wheel will be surrounded by floodlit buildings including The Queen’s Hotel, The Town Hall and No. 131 The Promenade. Find out more.
Tweedy Presents the Missing Company of Sherlock Holmes at the Everyman Theatre 16th & 23rd Feb
Tweedy is putting on a large scale theatre production of Sherlock Holmes at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham this Feb half term. He’s built the set, got the props and booked The Everyman Theatre for the show. There is only one problem – Tweedy has lost all the actors! Find out more.
Woodland Wildlife at Pets at Home (Cirencester) 15th – 20th Feb FREE
Workshops are aimed at kids aged 5-11, helping to teach them all about our favourite woodland animals and whet we can do to help them during the colder months.
