Children’s yoga classes are a fun yet calming way for children to develop body awareness and a positive self-image, increasing co-ordination, self-confidence and concentration, whilst they relax, stretch and strengthen their bodies.
ANY CHILD CAN PRACTICE
Your child doesn’t need to have had any prior experience of yoga. There will be a short health questionnaire for you to fill in prior to the first class to highlight any injuries or conditions that your child may have. Classes are split by age group as follows:
- 2-3 ½ years with an adult
- 4-7 years old without an adult (a responsible adult must stay in the building during the class)
- 8-12 years without an adult
WHAT TO EXPECT
The class environment is fun, calm and nurturing. There will be a mix of flowing movement and static postures to develop flexibility, balance and strength, in addition to breathing and relaxation exercises.

Felicity will provide all the mats and props for her classes. It’s best for your child to wear comfortable clothing and they don’t need footwear as yoga is done with bare feet.
A Children’s Yoga class is 45 minutes and costs £5 per class when booked as a block of classes (blocks are in line with school terms). Please note that classes are non-transferrable and non-refundable when missed, however you are welcome to send a friend in your child’s place if you know that they will be absent.
