Ten pin bowling is a great fun family activity for a rainy day. For bowling near Oxford, there is a large Hollywood Bowl bowling venue on the Ozone Leisure park near Kassam Stadium.
Younger bowlers can opt to have lane guards activated on their turn. This stops the bowling ball running into the gutter and makes bowling much more satisfying as little ones are guaranteed to knock down some pins! There is also a metal bowling ramp available on each lane – just line it up and slide the bowling ball down it.
What to Bring
If you’re wearing flat, closed toe shoes, you don’t need to wear special bowling shoes, although these are available to borrow.
