Oratory Prep School – 15th Jan – Fairytales is this half term’s topic for Reception. Last week the children went hunting for clues in forestschool that matched up to the stories that they will be studying. It was a magical afternoon in the woods.

Holme Grange School – 15th Jan – In Year 2 Science, we dove into the enchanting world of changing materials. Throughout this term, they will unravel the mysteries of how heat and forces can transform substances, engaging in discussions about reversible and irreversible changes. Let’s keep the scientific curiosity alive as we await more possible snowfall – stay warm and keep the learning spirit aflame!

Cranford School – 15th Jan – Saturday’s Super Science themed Stretch & Challenge session must certainly be our best to date. Our visiting Year 5-6 pupils from local primary schools were mesmerised by Mr Walker’s practicals, especially bending water with static electricity!

Eagle House School – 15th Jan – G is for Golden Eagle. We are very proud of our Golden Eagle program where pupils in all year groups get to develop their teamwork and leadership skills. This life skills all build towards the highly anticipated Golden Eagle week at the end of the Summer term.

Ludgrove School – 14th Jan – The boys started a new term of sport @ludgrove_school with a bang when they took on the rugby teams from @cothillfamily this afternoon. Expansive rugby with lots of support on the pitch – one for all and all for one! Thanks for being great sportsmen Cothill

Eton End – 14th Jan – What qualities make a fabulous superhero??! Year 2 enjoyed dressing up today as their favourite superheroes to show us all how to be brave, courageous and helpful to each other!

Highfield Prep – 14th Jan – Well done Team Highfield School for Girls for taking part in the Maidenhead Lions 39th annual swimarathon today. The girls swim in relay for 50 minutes, raising money for Champion Chanzige, and The Lions Club of Maidenhead.

Luckley House School – 13th Jan – Our Year 7 pupils were treated to a day out at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre last Friday. They travelled by coach into London, ate pizza with a view of the Thames and then watched an adaptation of Hansel and Gretal. The pupils were able to experience theatre in the round, open to the elements.

The Oratory – 13th Jan –Houses back, full and busy again this week.

Horris Hill – 13th Jan – Our orchestra had their first rehearsal of the new term on Thursday, kicking things off in style with the epic theme from Star Wars! Part of our co-curricular programme, the orchestra encourages the children to collaborate and use their musical talent to work together as a group.

Long Close School – 12th Jan – Music and Movement was the theme of the day with our visit from Arts International this week. Children from Pre School to Year 4 explored how music changed the way they move their body; thinking about how it made them feel.

Thorngrove School – 12th Jan – The Lower School had a very special visitor this morning! Treble is a sprocker who has two months left of his training to become a Medical Detection Dog @medicaldetectiondogs. In September the Lower School Council selected Medical Detection Dogs as their charity for this year and we can’t wait to see some of their fundraising activities for this wonderful charity.

Leighton Park School – 12th Jan – This morning, our fantastic Sixth Form students inspired Year 9 during a dynamic GCSE options talk. This session provided an invaluable opportunity for our senior students to share their experiences and insights directly with Year 9s, helping them to navigate the path ahead and make informed choices for their next academic chapter.

Wellington College  – 12th Jan – We are thrilled to announce that 13 Wellingtonians have secured offers from the University of Oxford! These students will join the celebrations alongside the 12 Wellingtonians who have received early offers from 10 institutions in the US and Canada.

Claires Court – 12th Jan – It’s been a busy first week back and the #CCYear7 boys have excelled themselves in recreating one of the sections of the original Pablo Picasso artwork. Our dedicated art teacher, Mrs Payne, then combined the work from the groups to replicate the original. Great to see their original work!



Cheam School – 12th Jan – We have an exciting term ahead in Pre-Prep as we start exploring our different class topics! Nursery and Reception are busy discussing dinosaurs and have been breaking fossils out of the ice; Year 1 are venturing “Into the Dark” starting with sunset silhouettes, and Year 2 are investigating different inventors.

St Piran’s – 12th Jan – DT club have made us some stunning wooden creatures to crawl, slither, fly and hop through our adventurous Piran’s Park

Elstree – 11th Jan – The Year 8 prefects enjoyed a home cooked supper at The Headmaster’s House tonight. There was plenty of chatter and laughter…. and a competitive dice game to round off the evening.

Shiplake College – 11th Jan – Over the Christmas holiday, 45 of our rowers in Years 11-13 swapped the cold weather here for the sun in Seville for a weeklong training camp! Including training sessions and races

LVS Ascot – 11th Jan – Entries for our LVS Performing Arts Festival 2024 are open. Students have the opportunity to compete in Music, Dance and Drama sections.

St George’s School Windsor Castle – 5th Jan – Inspired by the origami artwork of Canadian artist, Andrew Wang, which tells a story about journeys and migrations, Year 5 were delighted to hear his comments on their work. “Wonderful! I love the colour layout and that some of the birds’ wings are down giving the impression of wings flapping. I’m honoured that my artwork was able to inspire your class from halfway around the world.”

St Edward’s Prep – 4th Jan – We have lots to look forward to, with the start of a new Theme of Investigation on Our Planet, the beginning of rugby season, exciting new After-School Clubs, outdoor learning trips to the woods, our second ever Climate Pledge exhibition and that’s all before half-term!

St Gabriel’s School – 20th Dec – Year 8 had a lot of fun on their Drama trip to The Harry Potter Studio Tour this term!

Queen Anne’s Caversham – 19th Dec -Thomas Franks Ltd and Queen Anne’s School joined forces in a festive collaboration to support the Feed London charity.Together, they’ve crafted 300 meal boxes, each containing 20 meals, essentials, and recipe cards destined for households in need.

Heathfield School – 18th Dec – We are delighted to announce that our Form V student Izzy, has been recognised with the highly commended award in the Ascot Photography Competition. Congratulations Izzy!

St Bernard’s Prep – 17th Dec – It’s been a very busy time for our Sports teams across KS2 this term.  In total we have participated in 69 competitive matches against other Prep and Primary schools, with a very good rate of success.

Bradfield College – 16th Dec – Hardly seems a week since our Michaelmas Concert, which included a complete performance of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite arranged for the various College Ensembles and 2 pianos. In total, 19 pupil pianists took part.

Lambrook School – 14th Dec – It was wonderful to be able to take some pupils to see the amazing work at Windsor Foodshare this morning as well as dropping off a final delivery for 2023. We look forward to returning in 2024
