A Magical Day at Lee Valley Farm: Fun, Animals & A Fairy-Tale Surprise!
If you’re looking for the perfect day out with little ones—where they can meet adorable animals, run wild in adventure play areas, and even step into a magical fairy tale – Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park is the place to go! We recently spent a day there, and let me tell you, it was pure joy from start to finish.
The minute we arrived, the excitement kicked in. The farm has such a welcoming, family-friendly vibe. The fresh countryside air, the sound of children giggling, and the occasional “baa” from a curious sheep—it all felt like the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Meet The Animals
First stop? The animal enclosures! We got to meet some seriously adorable residents, including playful goats, fluffy rabbits, and even a rather cheeky alpaca who seemed very interested in my snack bag (nice try, buddy!).
Feeding the animals was definitely a highlight—there’s something magical about seeing little hands carefully offer treats to a friendly sheep or watching a curious piglet snuffle around.
Outdoor Adventures Galore

After plenty of animal cuddles, it was time for some adventure. Lee Valley Farm has fantastic play areas where kids can climb, slide, and swing to their hearts’ content.
The jumping pillow was a huge hit. Think of a giant bouncy castle but flat and open—so much fun, and the pedal tractors gave little farmers the chance to take a spin around the track.
And then, just as we thought the day couldn’t get any better… it was time for Once Upon a Time: Snow White!
Stepping into a Fairy Tale at Lee Valley Adventure Farm
As we made our way to the interactive show, the excitement was buzzing. The setup was enchanting—like stepping straight into a storybook! The children were completely mesmerized as Snow White appeared, bringing her classic tale to life with fun, laughter, and just the right amount of audience participation.
There were sing-alongs, silly jokes, and even a little bit of (gentle) drama when the Wicked Queen made an appearance. But don’t worry—this was all about fun and happy endings! The kids loved helping Snow White outsmart the Queen, and when Prince Charming finally arrived, the cheers were loud enough to wake up even the sleepiest of dwarfs.
Ending the Day on a Sweet Note
After the show, there was just enough time for a quick treat, hello, ice cream and a few more goodbye waves to our animal friends. As we walked back to the car, tired but happy, I knew this was one of those days the kids would talk about for weeks.
We had a fun-filled memory-making day out at Lee Valley Animal Adventure Farm with its mix of adorable animals, outdoor fun, and magical interactive shows.
