Outdoor nature play for children
Children who spend more time outdoors are happier and healthier. They learn to understand, love and be inspired by nature. That’s good for them, good for communities and good for the natural environment.
So why not come out to play with Little Wild Things.
What we do
During a session children will be encouraged to explore and play through activities specifically designed to further their interest in the natural world. Activities might include bug hunting, mud painting or den building. Each week our adventures follow a different theme. These themes will follow the seasons and make the most of the natural resources surrounding us.
Good to know
Buggies can be brought into the woods but baby carriers tend to be easier. The wood can be muddy so you will need old clothes, waterproofs and outdoor shoes for you and your child. It’s also best to bring a change of clothes for after the session. Parking is off the road, just inside the wooden gate
Our charge is all inclusive, covering all activity resources, snacks and drinks for the children plus fair-trade tea and delicious homemade cake for the adults.
Our terms run in blocks of six weeks and all our upcoming adventures can be seen online.
You can book for the full term or select individual sessions – whichever suits you best. Bookings can be made through our online booking system.
