‘To challenge and to cherish’
Situated in Abingdon, The Manor Prep School is an outstanding independent co-educational day school that welcomes boys and girls aged 2-11.
We are proud of our wonderfully happy, creative school where every individual is valued and nurtured to reach their potential. Our most recent ISI Inspection took place in April 2017, with every area of school life receiving the highest possible rating of ‘Excellent’. Inspectors commented that “Pupils approach every day with an overwhelming passion to learn and develop.”
This is in part due to the exceptionally caring and invigorating tone of our school, where laughter is an essential part of the school day. Our children’s personal development is further strengthened by our staff who act as excellent role models. Every child is encouraged to push themselves to new challenges and fulfil their own potential, resulting in outstanding results academically, on the sports field, and in creative and performing arts.
We have an excellent record in ensuring leavers move on to the next school that is perfectly suited to each individual. Scholarships, awards and exhibitions feature highly in all areas. Aside from a wealth of enviable achievements, our outstanding pastoral care is renowned for preparing our children for life and not just for secondary school.
Completion of our new Sports Hall in September 2018 underpins the exciting development programme that is underway, and extends even further the breadth of opportunities that are on offer to the children.
We aim to simplify the logistics of family life as well, and so have created an extensive daily bus service covering Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire, and fully flexible wraparound care from 7.30am to 6.00pm.
We would be delighted to welcome you, to see for yourselves what we do. This will allow you to see first-hand how a Manor education can benefit all children, and experience our positive and caring environment.
Come and meet our Headmaster at one of our Open Mornings on Friday 3 May and Thursday 6 June between 9:30am-11.30am or call our Director of Admissions and Communications, Mrs Karen Copson on 01235 858462 or firstname.lastname@example.org for a private tour.
