Moneyhole Park in Welwyn Garden City is great to get the kids out for some free outdoor fun. The park was first established in 1982 to create sports and leisure spaces for the local community and to serve as the home ground for the much-loved Panshanger Football Club.

With a playground and woods it’s great for an autumn walk as the leaves are turning golden and in the warmer months it’s a fabulous picnic spot and a kick about, we often meet here with friends and let the kids run wild.

Moneyhole Park is a great for both younger and older children with two seperate play areas.

The older play area has a huge double rope climbing frame, my 8 year old loves to challenge himself to get from one side to the other.

The climbing frame with a shoot slide is always a hit.
The park has recently had a new netted swing installed for those who love an adrenaline rush.

The smaller play area is perfect for those just on their feet but also toddlers. A lovely step climbing frame with slides and swings.

It’s also fantastic for a woodland walk that goes all the way round the perimeter of the playing fields and you can walk through the farmers field, which we love do as the views are beautiful.

There is also an old bombraid shelter which you can peak inside.
