360 Play Rushden Lakes | Soft Play Review

360 Play offers active and creative play what ever the weather! There is a large range of activities and facilities, including soft play, slides, sports zone, dodgems, a carousel, messy play, and lots of different role-play stations. All of the facilities are included in the entrance fee, so there are no hidden costs when you enter. It is great value and you can use Tesco vouchers here.

George started with a ride on the dodgems, which he loved! Children under a certain height have to have an adult ride with them. Next, we raced up the 3-storey play frame. There were lots of different routes up and down it. It included rope bridges, net walks, different shaped tunnels, stepping stones, balance beams, spinning poles, and a fast wavy slide. At the bottom of the frame there is a role-play stage area where they can pretend to be stars. The main frame is aimed at children age 4-12 years, but my 3 year old really enjoyed it and could access everything easily.

At the bottom of the play frame there is a ball pit with an air juggler where the balls float in mid-air! This helps to tune their fine motor skills to balance the balls on the air and catch them.

There is a separate toddler soft play area with a smaller frame. This is aimed at children age 0-4 years. It has slides, biff bags, trim trail and building blocks all soft padded for early builders.

The real highlight for us was the 360 Play Street that has lots of different role-play stations. It has been designed and developed as a full-size world with a huge interactive play street. Children can look after animals in the vets, shop in the supermarket, be a chef and make pizza at Luigi’s pizza parlour, be a builder, fire fighter, hairdresser, fashion designer, the possibilities are endless! We also loved the huge Lego building table and block construction area.

There is also a messy play area with colouring, painting, sticking, and sensory trays.  There is an interactive water table here too, we loved this!

The facilities here are excellent. There is a café at the far end, with lots of seating areas spread throughout the play centre. This means you can always find a table to watch your little ones play, and it never feels too busy with too many people in one place. They serve hot and cold food. There is a new outside area with a good size climbing frame, sandpit and playhouses.

There is also a dedicated area you can book for children’s birthday parties, which looked lots of fun!

Each play session lasts for two hours and there is no need to book before hand. They do special afterschool prices and ‘stay and eat’ deals. If you go regularly, you may want to get one of the play passes to get a discount.

A little further afield there’s a 360 Play Milton Keynes too and in in Farnborough.
