The ball run at Basildon Park is open annually from mid May throughout the summer. Buy a ball run kit for £3 which is valid to use all summer long. Have fun exploring the grounds and rolling your ball through the different pipes, tubes and tunnels.
Ball Run Kit
The 2016 kit includes a drawstring bag, ball run tennis ball and wild adventure scrap book with 50 ideas for things to do before you’re 11 and 3/4. The kit costs £3 and can be purchased in the entrance foyer. You also need to buy a regular entrance ticket (no additional cost for National Trust Members).
2016 Ball Run
The 2016 Ball Run has 6 different ball runs spaced out throughout the grounds. Some are fixed tunnels whilst others can be moved around to construct your own run. We also like the stump circle with the central bucket where you have to throw your ball and try to get it onto the funnel slide.
Basildon Park
The gardens are fantastic to explore, with lots of trees to climb and dens to play in. The cafe serves hot drinks, sandwiches and has ice creams too. There are also plenty of picnic tables to enjoy a picnic. Read our full review of Basildon Park here.
