Stuck for ideas on what to do on a rainy day? Going to a soft play centre can be a great outing – the kids can run off lots of energy and parents can get the chance to grab a cuppa too! Trampoline parks and indoor climbing centres are great option too. Berkshire Soft Play Centres
The Jelly Lounge in Windsor is my absolute favourite. It’s gorgeous inside and the grown ups are looked after just as much as the kids. You definitely need to check it out.
Cobbs Play Barn in Hungerford is a wooden structured indoor play frame with three little role play rooms and a small soft play area for teeny ones
Lakeside Soft Play near Windsor is perfect for toddlers to have a run around and their cafe is great with really yummy cakes and food.
The Mad House Soft Play and Party World in Reading has a multi-tiered soft play area and dedicated zone for under 4s.
Pirates Landing in Wokingham was brand new in April 2022 and as you can imagine it has a pirate theme. There’s a dedicated area for toddlers as well as a large soft play area for the big ones.

Jump In soft play in Slough is part of the trampoline park. The soft play remains open for little ones even when the trampoline toddler sessions aren’t running.
Chai Cocoa is the brand new eco-conscious soft play cafe in Maidenhead where you can book a session in the main play area. There’s is a beautiful tree house inspired play area that’s lovely and colourful, there’s plenty of climbing, sliding and hiding to be had.
Thatcham Garden Centre has a soft play ideal for younger kids. It’s castle themed soft play structure has enough interesting areas to keep them entertained but is also small enough to be able to see your child climbing around. Great cafe too and the soft play sessions are good value.
Monkey Mates Play Barn is a mid sized soft play, with a good range of equipment to keep children entertained for hours.
Active Tots is a beautiful soft play near Reading, set in a converted barn in the countryside. Best suited to babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
Windsor Soft Play is for children aged 5 years and under and is set on three levels, there is also a separate dedicated area for the under 2’s. Although not overly big it was a great little soft play, and was the ideal size for my toddlers. It has the added bonus of being next to a great free play park to visit afterwards.
Jungle Mania in Woodley. A three tier soft play facility with a fabulous jungle theme in Berkshire.
The brand new Oxygen Activeplay brings a whole host of indoor fun for kids from trampolines to toddler soft play.
Berkshire Indoor Climbing Centres
Newly opened in the summer of 2022, Clip n’ Climb close to Reading. The climbing centre is bright, colourful and exciting with each challenge wall varying in difficulty.
Slough Climbing Wall – sessions available for children form age 7 upwards
Northway Climbing Centre – the Newbury indoor climbing centre has pay as you go options for children.
Trampoline Parks in Berkshire
If you’re looking to bounce off some energy, then there’s nothing quite like a session at a trampoline park.
Red Kangaroo Trampoline Park in Reading not only has lots of trampolines but a 21 metre tumble track, gladiator beam and wipeout. Sessions available for all ages.
Jump In in Slough delivers not only on trampoline fun but lots of extras too from tumble tracks to extreme slides. There are toddler only sessions (and a soft play) as well as open bounce.
Soft Play Cafes in Berkshire

Robyn’s Nest (Warfield) is nestled within Moss End Garden Village and popular with families.
Chai Cocoa in Maidenhead has stylish seating and tables at the front of the cafe with lovely wooden toys and games to be play with. They also have a small soft play ideal for younger kids that you can book a session at separately.
Located at the Court Garden Leisure Centre in Marlow The M Cafe has a play area that is free to use for cafe customer.
If you’re looking for a child friendly cafe in Bracknell then head to Cup of Rosie in the town centre.

Bucklebury Farm has a small indoor play area with some soft play climbing and some awesome slides to ride down in hessian sacks.
4 Kingdoms in Headley has a soft play area with a zone for babies/toddlers and then a multi-level area suitable for older children.
Jakes Play World in Sandhurst has an indoor soft play and outdoor area. You can pay for one of the other or both. Great fun.
