Bouncing bugs soft play runs every Monday and Wednesday 10am-11.30am and is located inside the Lightwater Leisure Centre.
There is a whole room set aside for Bouncing Bugs and it’s a great place for the children to play and explore safely. Set around the outside of the play area are seats so that the adults can take a well deserved break and watch the little ones play amongst themselves.
As soon as you enter into the room you can see that the main attraction is the bouncy castle, both little ones loved jumping on this and lots of giggles could be heard. In the centre of the room is the soft play section where there are various different sizes of soft play equipment which they can climb on, make towers out of, jump on and literally explore. These areas seem to be where we spend most of our times.
Around the hall are various ride on toys, car, bikes, scooters and pushchairs for the children to enjoy. There is ample space for them to be whizzing around. There is a kitchen play area, dressing up clothes, a huge dolls house with all the accessories, and lots of other toys where the children can sit and play independently.
Nestled into one of the corners is the quiet area where there a various books they can sit and read, and today we had some play dough to play with. Making shapes and using the cutters was a big hit with Isabella, she could have spent the whole morning just playing with the play dough. She prefers to sit and play, whereas Noah has ants in his pants and want to be on the move all the time.
This is a great free play area where the little ones are safe to go and explore. Whether they fancy zooming around the hall on little cars, or sitting quietly to do some arts & crafts, or bouncing on the castle there is something for everyone.
Noah loved being able to jump on the castle, doing laps of the hall in his little car and making drinks in the kitchen – his imagination and motor skills were put to use.
Isabella loved being able to climb all over the soft play, cuddling with the teddies, she was fascinated by the giant dolls house and there was a separate area for smaller babies with a mixture of toys.
This is a great little playgroup tucked away at Lightwater Country Park in the Leisure Centre.
