We discovered Boyn Grove Park in Maidenhead after a visit to Norden Farm Arts Centre. Luckily I had picked up a take out coffee from their coffee shop so it was very chilled out for me while my little one ran around exploring.
Nestled in a big grassy area is the fenced play park with a really good mix of equipment to appeal to a variety of ages.
Big kids will enjoy the climbing opportunities with a pyramid spiders web, curved monkey bars (there’s no way I’d manage those) and a variety of exciting ways to descend to the ground down dual metal runs. My big boys tend to wrap an arm on each one and slide down that way.
There’s also a really good balance curve that you can stand on and swing from side to side. My little one spent ages sat on in and pretending it was a train going back and forth.
For younger kids there’s a selection of smaller climbing apparatus and slides with bark on the ground so you don’t end up getting too muddy on a damp day.
There’s a small free car park next to the park and just outside the park and across the car park, there are free toilets too. They’re part of the building but are accessed from the outside.
