This is a great little playground for toddlers in a fantastic location near Newbury town centre.
There is a good size main climbing frame, with different entrances. This has monkey bars, different climbing sections, a big slide, and different height sections. There is also a smaller climbing frame and slide for younger children.
My son George (33 months) really enjoyed the helicopter. It had a big cockpit, two pilot seats, two controls you could move up. He loved sitting and pretending to fly making helicopter noises.
George also liked the wobbly surfboard, and the train. He made me the train driver with added sound affects! There was a nice little merry-go-round and swings for different age groups. Also, outside the fenced off play park area there was a zip line.
The City Recreation Ground is a triangle shape with a football pitch, a MUGA (multi-use games area) with basketball hoop and goal, fitness equipment, and distance markers around the outside path so you can see how far you have come. There is a new pathway made of recycled rubber running around the perimeter, this is perfect for toddlers practicing on their scooters! I can imagine this will be a perfect place for picnics in the summer.
There is on street parking in the residential roads near by, or you could park in town and walk there.
