1690s Ambigue at the Chiltern Open Air Museum

7 August, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 8 August, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

You are invited to visit late 17th century life with the re-enactment group ‘History Re-enactment Workshop’.

Meet a local landowning family, their visitors and the household servants as they present and enjoy a sumptuous Ambigue (picnic).

Chat with them to find out what life is like and how different it is if you are a landowner or a servant.

Join in the discussions about the issues of the day – what is the gossip surrounding Court and the Royal Family? Does the landowner prefer the English or the French style of gardens that are being planned for their estate? How will this affect the local people?

For further information about this event, please continue to check the museum’s website and its social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
