Explore Day at Norden Farm

Norden Farm Art Centre has two week’s of creative adventures across the Easter school holidays – including the return of the AMAZING Explore Day on 7th April 2023. They have an incredible array of workshops for all ages to inspire all interests. Workshops are only £4.50 and if you purchase The Explore Pass this gives access to 4 different workshops for £16 per person – saving £2
The workshops for specific age ranges are designed for the children to attend on their own. Family Workshops are designed for children and adults to get creative together – a ticket must be booked for every participant attending
Norden Farm have their own free car park but it will be a super busy day so it’s recommended to allow at least 15-20 mins to park, pick up tickets and find your workshop. They have a great cafe if you arrive early.
Family Workshops
Circus Skills – Come and explore the magical world of circus. Try tightrope walking, giant ball walking, unicycling and juggling. Led by And Circus. (Minimum age for family workshop is 5 years).
Print Making – Learn block printing techniques in this friendly hands-on class creating colourful designs to take home.
Make & Decorate Chocolate Lollipops – Create and decorate chocolate eggs and lollipops with icings and sweets – create your own delicious treats to keep or share!
Digital Animation – Unleash your creative side and bring your animations to life on screen. Explore camera work, designing, directing, recording and more. After each workshop the animations will be uploaded to YouTube – so you can share with friends and family!
Street Dance – A joy-filled, high energy Street Dance session which will leave you buzzing!
Mesmerising Magic & Tricks – Come along to Mark’s Magic Mayhem’s amazing show and try some magic for yourself. Watch him in action, then learn some tricks to wow your friends.
Ukulele – A brilliant introduction to the ukulele, with games and tips to get you started. You will be amazed by what you can achieve! Join in this friendly session and learn a tune to play as a group. Ukuleles provided.
DJ Skills – This packed session gives you the chance to experiment with software, switching, mixing, beat counting, effects and different genres. DJ Tons of Sound will get you dancing and leave you buzzing!
Steel Pan Band – Create your own steel pan band with friends and family and learn to play steel pan music with RASPO.
Pre School Sessions
Creative Play – with arts and crafts
Funky Monkeys Dance – An energetic and creative music and movement class for babies and children under 5. This fun and funky session uses lights, puppets and music to get your little ones moving!
Age 5-7 Years
Drama – Explore the emotions, gather the elements to help find your character and together we will pack our bags ready to go on an adventure! We will use our imagination to be creative through story, play and movement.

Magic – Do you love magic? Have you ever been astounded by a magician’s illusions and longed to know the tricks of the trade? Then Magic Mark’s Mayhem’s Tricky-Tuition is just for you!

We will use our imagination to be creative through story, play and movement. How do we do this? Come find out and have fun discovering how! It is easy peasy, no skill needed! Build confidence, try out ideas and invent something new.
