Discover new worlds with your friends and family with Explore Day on Friday 18th April at Norden Farm in Maidenhead. Choose from over 35 workshops – from screen printing to chocolate lollipop making!

A day packed with workshops for children, families and young people.  There will be drumming, drama, dance, chocolate making, fine art and animation and so much more. A fantastic way to start the Easter holidays in Berkshire.

Pre School – Sensory Play

A sensory play session which includes inflatables, lights, colour and movement to soothe and stimulate little minds and bodies.

Suitable for babies and children under 5.

 Pre School – Movement and Music

Led by Funky Monkeys

An energetic and creative music and movement class for babies and children under 5.

This fun and funky session uses lights, puppets, parachute, instruments and music to get your little ones moving!

Circus Skills
Try tightrope walking, giant ball walking, unicycling and juggling.

Street Dance

Get energised and learn some amazing moves with this contemporary dance class with funky tunes.

Music – Ukulele

An introduction to the ukulele for everyone (even beginners!). Play fun and quirky covers and take part in a big uke jam.

Music – Djembe Drumming

Mandinka’s skilled percussionist brings an authentic djembe drum for every member of the group. Build on basic sequences and traditional songs in a huge drum circle!

Make and Decorate Chocolate Lollipops
Led by Rosie’s Chocolate Factory

Create your own chocolate eggs and lollies to give away (or eat!)

Ceramic Workshop

Maria will guide you to create a whimsical animal cup using coil and pinch techniques (These will be fired and returned to Norden Farm, to be collected after Tues 6 May).

Digital Animation

Create an animated story using iPad technology in this creative session.

The World of Comics

X-Ray Spex!

Learn how to design and build your own pair of incredible, working X-Ray Spex under the xpert guidance of James from Comic Club, and create your own secret code pictures and hidden images using the ingenious power of colour filters and optical effects! An incredible combination of simple science and cartooning creativity!

Immerse yourself in a new world with this high-tech virtual reality experience from Salthill VR .

Graffiti

Join Mark to create a collaborative masterpiece which Norden Farm will use to advertise our Quest Family Fest 2026! Learn new skills designing and creating a large-scale graffiti masterpiece!

Art – Silkscreen Tote Bags

Design and print your own tote bag.  Make paper stencils, choose from our large library of plain and patterned screens, get to grips with a squeegee and print your own Bag for Life to take home.

Special Effects Makeup

Taking inspiration from Pop art and Manga styles, create a fantastic look based on the art of illusion.
