What’s On For Kids | May Half Term Buckinghamshire 2024

May / June half term in Buckinghamshire is set to be an exciting one with lots of great events and half term activities for kids.. SPOTLIGHT EVENT – HOGSAHW FARM & WILDLIFE PARK
Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park will have an action-packed week of family fun this May half term. Have a go at circus skills, ride the miniature train, watch the beautiful birds of prey take flight, burn off steam with outdoor adventure play & score points with family games!

Outdoor May Half Term Adventures
May Half Term Fun at Tumblestone Hollow (north of Henley) 25th May – 2nd June
Discover the magic of Tumblestone Hollow at Stonor Park & Gardens this May half term. A wonderful adventure playground nestled in the trees with something for all ages and the most awesome slide! This half term they will also have a woodland nature trail and den building.

- Half Term Hoedown at Odds Farm Park (Wooburn Green, nr High Wycombe) 25th May – 2nd June
Steaming Day at Bucks Railway Centre (Quainton) 26th May + 2nd June
This is when Buckinghamshire Railway Centre have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! They also have miniature ride-on trains.

Roman Gladiators at Chiltern Open Air Museum (Chalfont St Giles) 27th – 28th May
The Roman Gladiators return to Chiltern Open Air Museum for an unforgettable educational and thrilling experience. Prepare to be amazed as provincial gladiators take the stage and engage in fierce combat.
Dragon Adventure at Bucks Railway Centre (Quainton) 27th May
Calling all Knights and Princesses! It’s time to get your best outfits on, because today you will meet a huge, smoke-breathing DRAGON! There will also be some baby dragons, knights and a Singing Princess. Plus awhole host of fun children’s medieval tournament activities, steam train rides, the miniature and model railways, railway museum, café and gift shop!
Terrific Tuesday at Chiltern Open Air Museum (Chalfont St Giles) 28th May
This May half-term’s Terrific Tuesday theme is wellbeing. Make a newspaper pot and plant a seed to grow at home, make a stress ball, enjoy some Hands on Clay with the Dacorum and Chiltern Potters Guild and listen to some storytelling. All included with admission.

Napolenonic Weekend at Chiltern Open Air Museum (Chalfont St Giles) 1st – 2nd June
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Napoleonic era at this special Napoleonic Living History Weekend this June. This event will be brought to you by around 100 reenactors from the Napoleonic Association.
Indoor May Half Term Events
Arts, crafts and storytelling at The Roald Dahl Museum (Great Missenden) 25th May – 2nd June
Head to our indoor Wondrous Woods room to listen to some of your favourite extracts from Fantastic Mr Fox and Danny the Champion of the World, performed by our storytelling experts.

Get creative with choreography and belt your heart out to your favourite show tunes, whilst getting an insight into a working theatre! Suitable for ages 5-11 years.

Comedy Club 4 Kids at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre (Aylesbury) 25th May
Comedy Club 4 Kids is family friendly, but without any patronising idiocy. In fact, it’s just like a normal comedy club, but it’s on in the day, kids are allowed in, and thus there is a higher than usual chance of heckles like “why is that your face!?”
