Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration Events in Buckinghamshire

With a special extended bank holiday weekend for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, there will be four days of celebration and lots of events happening all over Buckinghamshire. Platinum Jubilee Beacon lighting in Buckinghamshire – 2nd June
- Stowe National Trust – Beacon lighting starts at 9.30pm with piper .
- Radnage, High Wycombe – Radnage Parish Council will be lighting the Jubilee Beacon at 9:45pm Thursday 2 June 2022 in the playground at Radnage Village Hall.
- Akeley – Akeley Parish Council is hosting a party at the village hall. Tables can be booked by residents and friends of the village for a Bring Your Own tea party. There will be a table decorating competition and the lighting of the Beacon.
- Brackley – The Beacon will be lit at Brackley Rugby Club at 21:45 and will be one of over 2,022 lit by charities, communities and faith groups all over the UK.
- Wolverton – In partnership with MK Museum, WGTC will be lighting the beacon on Thursday 2nd June. Gates open at 20:00 with food and drink available from the café and the beacon will be lit at 21:15
- Quainton – lighting of Quainton Beacon will be on Mill Hill. The Quainton Community Choir and the local Bugler will also be marking this occasion. From 9pm.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Stowe (Stowe) – 2nd – 5th June
Stowe’s programme of events for the extended Public Holiday weekend in June includes a Beacon Lighting ceremony,open air Ceilidh Band and piper, the opening of a new Royal Route within the historic gardens, a Big Royal Picnic and a ‘bring your own’ Street Party.
Platinum Jubilee Weekend at Bletchley Park (nr Milton Keynes) 2nd – 5th June
Running across four days, enjoy the jubilant atmosphere at Bletchley Park, complete with hand-made bunting. Celebrate with an afternoon of live music and entertainment, suitable for the whole family. Take to the dance floor in the music marque or grab a deckchair and relax whilst listening to a superb vintage live music performances.
Platinum Jubilee Party at MK Museum (Milton Keynes) 4th June FREE
WGTC, in partnership with MK Museum, is hosting a royally good Platinum Jubilee party for all the family! Held at MK Museum, there will be music, arts and crafts, face painting, crazy golf, a Kings and Queens pageant and a proms finale as well as local street food vendors.
