2023 Pantomimes in Gloucestershire

He’s behind you, oh no he isn’t, oh yes he is.   A great pantomime is full of larger than life characters, lots of laughs, a villain that everyone hates, a comical dame and young love.  A very British tradition a Christmas, here’s the definitive list of pantomimes from Cheltenham to Tewkesbury and beyond.

Mother Goose at the Everyman Theatre (Cheltenham)

Don’t miss Tweedy as a panto dame for the first time ever when he returns along with the rest of the team behind Dick Whittington and His Cat Tweedy, Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella! Everyman Theatre was voted Best Theatre in the Red Kite Days 2022 Awards.

Roses Theatre (Tewkesbury)

Roses Theatre’s 2023 pantomime is still to be announced.

The Sub Rooms (Stroud)

2023 still to be announced

The Theatre Chipping Norton (Chipping Norton)

An intimate theatre, with lots of personality, the Chipping Norton panto always has the perfect mix of colourful characters and lots of laughs. 2023 pantomime still to be announced.

Treasure Island at The Barn Theatre (Cirencester)

A rip-roaring thrilling feast of swaggering pirates, foot tapping mayhem, mutiny on the high seas and sea shanties galore! Pirates of the Caribbean meets Fishermen’s Friends.

The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan at the Bristol Hippodrome (Bristol)

With amazing special effects, stunning sets, beautiful costumes and barrel-loads of laughter, The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan will take your whole family on a swashbuckling trip to Neverland like never before!

2023 Family Christmas Theatre Shows (not pantos) in Gloucestershire

Pantomimes can be a little overwhelming for young kids or not your cup of tea.  A family outing to the theatre over the Christmas holidays is a lovely treat.  Often experiences make the best presents.  Here’s a lineup of some great children’s theatre around Gloucestershire in 2020.

Everyman Theatre (Cheltenham)

Last year’s Snow Queen production was absolutely amazing and we just loved our experience.  Can’t wait to find out if they’ll be having a theatre show for younger kids this year in the run up to Christmas.
