Great Budworth Ice Cream Farm has been around for over 30 years, its probably one of the original ones before they came so popular. They are a Cheshire family run business who are proud to produce their own ice cream from their very own cows.
Their hand crafted tradition ice cream has also been put on the map by the one and only Harry Styles as he used to cycle over to the farm during his summer holidays for a scoop of mint choc chip.
We visited while they had their summer sunflower maze. It is such a good maze with impressive 8ft tall sunflowers and with a challenge inside. In order to win a prize, you had to answer questions about animals and fill in your crossword sheet.
They put extra events on throughout the year, including an Easter egg hunt and Sunflower Maze.
The farm is a great family-friendly place to visit. Next to the car park is a small area with animals to feed. There are chickens, a donkey, sheep, and goats.
The cafe has a small lunch menu of sandwiches and toasties. But the main attraction is definitely their ice cream. They don’t go in for crazy unusual flavours but stick with tradition and use natural ingredients.
They serve ice cream in cones, tubs, or boats. Also, yummy sundaes or a scoop of ice cream paired with one of their amazing homemade cakes.
