The Charlbury Garden Centre (was Hilltop Garden Centre Ramsden previously) soft play barn is a lovely little spot for younger kids, especially if you find the large soft play centres a bit overwhelming. It’s also cheaper than the large centres and so perfect if you’re just looking for somewhere for a couple of hours to run off energy and avoid a rainy day.
Situated within the Hilltop Garden Centre near Ramsden in Oxfordshire, it means there’s plenty of parking. The soft play equipment is relatively small but covers two levels. There’s a slide, plenty to clamber over and up, as well as an area for smaller kids with soft play shapes.
There’s a café within the soft play so you don’t need to leave the area to get a bite to eat or drink. The menu might be relatively limited compared to some places but it’s much tastier than you would get in the average soft play centre. My kids and I love the homemade pizza and you can also get sandwiches, wraps and baked potatoes as well as the usual drinks and snacks. They have a pizza and play special offer mid week in the afternoons too.
