If you’re looking for a good inside activity with the kids, what’s more fun than going to the bowling alley. We like the one near the Kassam stadium outside Oxford. The centre at The Ozone has so much to offer with bowling, a dinner as well as a amazing arcade with more games than you could want.
Hollywood Bowl has lots of different offers and the game is all very hi tech now days with little ones able opt to have the bumpers up on the lane at the touch of a button.
No one likes a gutter ball so this worked really well when we recently went for a birthday celebration so none of the kids got frustrated, you can also use the ramps for those that can’t quite swing the ball.
The onsite dinner is based on an American theme, you can enjoy burgers and hotdogs with a shake on the side. The kids meals are affordable at £2.99 with all the classic options like chicken nuggets, mini hotdogs or a burger.
On our recent visit I decide to upgrade all the kids to the ultimate experience in VIP as it only cost £1 per person.
The difference is mostly the look of your seating area with little things like comfy seats, lights and decorations including the red velvet curtains on your entrance. On arrival our lanes even had lots of balloons scattered in it which was perfect for the party.
A big favourite for my little ones is going to play in the arcade after we finish bowling and Hollywood Bowl have a lot of different games on offer from driving games to 10p machines, nerf gun shooting games, air hockey or claw grabber machines. A huge and exciting range of activities and machines on offer in the amusements, there’s a game for every fun seeker.
Many of the games give you tickets for winning which are shown on each machine, the more tickets you win the bigger the prize!
If you don’t win enough during your visit keep them safe for next time. Once you’ve collected all the tickets you can, just feed them into the ticket eater, and get ready to trade your ticket receipt for a prize of your choice. There are loads of prizes on offer but as often is the case with arcades you need a lot to get anything, 100 tickets gets you a pot of bubbles and there are prizes right up to 5,000 tickets.

Gravitee Golf is also located at the Kassam Leisure Complex and is another great option for some indoor fun with kids.
