Lightwater Country Park Cafe is a little piece of heaven set amongst the beauty of the country park. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was charming and simple, with just the right amount of character.
The food is amazing but what really makes this café is the wonderful people who run it. Looking for the perfect coffee or lunch stop look no further than the Lightwater Country Park Café!
Having recently been taken over and refurbished earlier in on in the year, it’s great to have such a wonderful café situated right in the centre of the country park.
We’re always going for walks around the park, a play in the playground or more recently we visited the crazy golf, so it’s great that there is a place where you can sit and relax whilst enjoying some delicious food.
On the menu there is a great selection which will appeal to everyone. From freshly cooked pastries, a full English or lighter bites you will be spoilt for choice – there is also Vegan, and Vegetarian options available too. If you are looking to quench your thirst then there is a vast selection of hot and cold beverages which you can choose from.
We had spent the morning enjoying the beautiful grounds of the Country park, fed the geese, even the dog had a little swim to cool off in the water, the kids enjoyed playing in the park. Then we decided to sit and relax outside and have some lunch.
We were spoilt for choice with the menu and decided on breakfast / brunch options (although there was a lot on there which took my fancy) Although dogs are allowed into the café itself we decided to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air – also meant we could watch the little ones play in the park.
Freshly made pastries and a hot coffee hit the spot, but we didn’t stop there. A full English and breakfast baps were the choice for us adults, whereas the kids chose fish fingers and sausages. The food was amazing, freshly cooked and tasted delicious – even the little ones had cleared their plates.
Even though we were full up from our lunch, we still managed to find room for that all important ice cream. There was a freezer full of tempting frozen treats, and even something for the dogs too (we can’t forget them as they join us on our adventures too)
If you’re looking for a place where you can relax and read some novels or watch the world go by, this cafe would be perfect. They have the best coffee available, freshly cooked delicious food and even some fresh baked pastries as well. The ambiance of this shop was so relaxing, and the staff were very welcoming. I could not ask for more because everything that I needed was provided.
