Pick your pumpkin patches are huge in North America and you can find a few around Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire too. Here’s a few to try out as well as a few places you can buy ready picked pumpkins and have fun decorating too.
At the heart of the stunning Wasing Estate near Aldermaston in Berkshire lies a very special field that’s home to an organic pumpkin crop. For the first time in the Estate’s history, you join their Halloween event.
Wasing Pumpkin Patch
Pick your own pumpkins at Wasing’s organic pumpkin field. They’ve grown Jack O’Lantern pumpkins which with their bright orange skin, is perfect for both carving and making delicious homemade pumpkin pie and soup. So collect a wheelbarrow and choose your favourite pumpkins to take home and carve. You’ll also be joined in the field by Wasing’s jolly scarecrows who are safeguarding the pumpkin crop from any hocus pocus!
Wasing October Half Term Woodland Trail
Follow a magical little seasonal trail through the Estate’s stunning autumnal woodland and along the way, encounter upon some enchanting creatures inspired by the residents of Wasing’s trees and fields!
Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patches in Berkshire
Wasing PYO Pumpkins have an organic pumpkin patch, woodland trail and refreshments. (Aldermaston, Berkshire)
Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch is brand new from family run Boyd’s Kitchen Garden this year. There will also be Gruffalo characters and homemade refreshements. Free entry but you do need to reserve you spot in advance. (Donnington near Newbury, Berkshire)
Copas Farm in Cookham will be open 16/17th October and through half term to pick pumpkins in their field. (Cookham)
Pick your own pumpkins at Cobbs Farm Shop (Hungerford) open for 2 weeks including the week of October Half Term. Further details still be to be announced.
Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patches in Buckinghamshire
Copas Farm in Iver will be open 16/17th October and through half term to pick pumpkins in their field. (Iver)
This October half term Nathan’s Farm will have everything form pumpkin picking to pumpkin carving, pumpkin soup as well as feed and pet the animals. (Chalftont St Giles)
At The Pumpkin Patch Milton Keynes you can pick your own pumpkins straight from the farmers fields. Lots more excitement for kids too with alittle monsters bale maze, giant spiders web, slide land, bale mountain and bale swings!! (Milton Keynes)

Jump on a tractor and ride on down to the pumpkin patch at Lillingstone Pick Your Own. There will be a maize maze, refreshments and pony rides too! (nr Akeley Village)
