Manchester Academy of Gymnastics run amazing sessions in their play gyms Monday to Friday between 9.15 and 11.30 Sunday mornings 10-12. These sessions are for children under 11 who are charged at £6.50 and one accompanying adult if free of charge with additional adults charged at £1 (March 2023).
I honestly couldn’t quite believe how good these sessions are, we usually head to soft play on a Friday but this is such a great alternative! Manchester Academy of gymnastics open up their gym for unstructured play! My little girl felt like a gymnast, she managed to do her first forward role there too which really made the day feel very special!
You are given free rein of the whole gym, we enjoyed, bouncing on the trampolines, jumping into the foam pits, balancing on the beams and jumping off the spring boards!
The team at the centre also put out 2 playhouses and two large parachutes which we had great fun with! Despite their being lots of parents, grandparents, adults and children there because the gym is so large it didn’t feel busy and there was plenty of space and equipment for nobody to be waiting around.
The cafe there was up steep stairs, so not the most practical with a toddler but it was reasonably priced and perfect for a spot of lunch and a coffee (for me!).
We would really recommend this for a morning out and something different to do! We will definitely be back.
