Designed as a pirate ship, Specky’s Pirate Ship at Guildford Spectrum is a four storey soft play area that has a lot for the children to explore. To go on their adventure they can use the tube slide, swing from the cargo nets, jumping the trampoline or even swim in the ball pit.
At the very bottom of the ship is an area is ideal for the younger babies, with soft play flooring it’s ideal for them to crawl around on, there are waves which they can climb on and slide down.
Once they make their way around there is also a mini trampoline for them to bounce away on, and they will meet the friendly octopus too. On this floor there is a smaller slide for them to enjoy which ends up in a ball pit.
The next floor there is hidden spaces for them to crawl and hide in, a rope bridge for them to climb across, jellyfish legs are dangling so they can run in and out of, a roller ball which they need to slide through and a larger slide which again also ends up into a large ball pit too. There’s also lots of soft play equipment to climb on and over, and also giant bouncy balls which they can roll around.
At the very top of the soft play frame there is a large slide which goes all the way down to the bottom. If you don’t fancy the slide then there are various steps and stepping stones to make your way down.
The whole of the soft play area is set within a netted cage, so once you are inside it’s safe for the children to explore and climb at their own pace. If you do have smaller children there is a separate ball pit area and also toys for them to play with. I managed to go down the slide with my little one which she really enjoyed as she wasn’t big enough on her own.
Having the different levels of soft play and activities it’s a great space for the little ones to crawl around, run, jump and explore. Plus having the safety netting all around it’s safe and secure for even the littlest of people. In some sections you will need to crouch down in order to follow the children and help with some of the steep stairs but this adds to all the fun and excitement of the soft play.
