Summit Up features the largest Clip ‘n Climb in the north of England, bouldering, roped climbing, soft play and cafe, perfect if you’re looking for an indoor activity in Oldham.
We had a great time on our visit to check out Clip n’ Climb. It’s an indoor climbing adventure with lots of different climbing walls, drop slide, ‘leap of faith’ jump, interactive games plus lots more.
After a 30 min safety briefing you are given a harness then you head to the climbing area where’s there’s lots of great climbing walls for all abilities.
Not what you might imagine if you think about indoor climbing, it’s bold and bright.
There’s a variety of different wall challenges so it’s suitable for a wide range of ages from 5 years to adults. It’s not often you can find something for spread of ages and makes it perfect for a family outing.
It’s super safe with lots of staff on hand to help you clip on and off the walls.
My kids absolutely loved it and it’s great for confidence building and I would highly recommend a visit!
For younger kids, there’s a 3 tiered soft play area (charged extra to clip and climb session)

There’s also a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks – lots of yummy cakes and reasonably priced.
Car parking is over the road on Bradshaw Street – WARNING…it’s says it’s free for 3hrs on a Sat & Sun but read the small print you have to get a ticket… I didn’t see this and ended up with a car parking ticket.
