Windsor swimming pool is a great destination for a fun family day out, especially if it’s cold and wet outside! There is a really fun leisure pool with toddler area, wave pool and flumes. For those wanting a proper swim there is also a separate lane pool.
Windsor Swimming Pool Toddler Zone
The leisure pool was lovely and warm on the day we visited. The pool has a very shallow wading zone with toddler amusements including a small slide and activity frame with tipping buckets. The pool then gets deeper and there is a roped off area for better swimmers.
Windsor Swimming Pool Slides
For slightly older children, there is a short open slide which is lots of fun and takes up to three people side by side. This finishes in a deeper area of water so is suitable for swimmers or needs an adult to help at the bottom.
Older children will love the big flumes. There is a slower ‘family slide’ where a parent can go down with a child. This flume is gentle. There is the faster shark flume for people over 110cm and riders must go on it individually. This flume is scarier and has a dark tunnel section.
Windsor Swimming Pool Waves and Rapids
The wave pool comes on at regular intervals. My kids’ favourite area was the passage to explore with ropes and water jets. Tipping buckets spill water from above at intervals as you go through this area to create some extra excitement.
Windsor Swimming Pool Cafe
There is a good cafe by reception serving hot drinks and meals such as burgers, hot chips and other snacks.
Costs and Opening Times
Check out the Windsor swimming pool website for opening times on the day you want to go.
Attractions Nearby
Right next to the swimming pool is the wonderful Alexandra Gardens area with beautiful paths for walking, a mini amusement area and several cafes. It’s a great place to explore after a swim on a nice day.
