Do you fancy exploring the Jungle with your children? Climb to the highest heights, burrow through the tunnels, play in the water zone, sail down the zip line and frolic in the sand. Then why not check out Woking Park Playground.
The playground sits on the edge of Woking Park, and with 43 acres it’s beautiful to explore, with attractive landscaped gardens filled with trees, bridges and pathways and a duck pond. There is also a skateboard park for the children to enjoy and test their skills out on the ramps.
Woking Park Play Area is an amazing jungle themed playground located next to Woking Leisure Centre and Pool In The Park. As well as lots of wooden play equipment, slides and swings, there is a large sandpit and water play area so don’t forget your bucket and spade! (You will get wet and you will send covered in sand) There are activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.
The fun activities include a zip wire, tall slides, climbing frames and a pirate ship. There is a sand play area with buckets and pulleys, along with a fun water play area with chutes, taps, bridges and collection pool.
Children will enjoy exploring the playground to spot the 23 hidden animals, including a jaguar, giant anteater and caiman. The beautifully created wooden animals are spread amount the park and is a great addition for a fun activity to do whilst you are there. The clever landscaping and tunnels are great fun for children to explore.
There is a separate toddler area where they have a little ship, slide, toddler swings, rockers and sand pulleys. This area is great as it’s all set on sand so the small children can safely play, build castles and play in the sand.
You can then burrow through the tunnels into the water play area, this area was great as there was a water pump the children could use to make streams of water, build castles in the sand pit and splash about. A great addition to the park and a place to cool off in the sunshine too. We spent a lot of time here splashing about and using all of our sand toys. Be prepared though as you will get wet, which is all part of the fun.
For the older children there was a zip line which looked like lots of fun, a huge pirate ship there could climb and explore. Lilly pads stepping stones which my two likes to jump onto and pretend to be frogs. There are also swings, a basket wings and slides in this area too (although the slides do get very warm on a hot day).
There was another climbing structure which Noah loved, he was able to climb up the stairs, through the net and onto the other climbing frame. From here he was able to access the zip line and also the slides – he was very confident in exploring this and had great fun climbing up high above my head.
There are a few picnic benches dotted around the park but also lots of green area if you wanted to take a picnic blanket for a bite to eat. On a hot sunny day there wasn’t much shade in the park itself, but there was in the surrounding areas.
Food and drink options are available at the Café in the Park kiosk located next to the playground. Café in the Park offers hot drinks, cold drinks, sandwiches, sweets, snacks and ice creams. Public toilet facilities are located within Woking Park.
There are public toilets within the park
