Wychwood offers a very broad range of subjects and at GCSE and A Level, Wychwood attains significantly over the national average. Pupils go on to achieve and take up positions at a wide range of institutions including Oxbridge, Russel group universities, and prestigious Art universities such as Central Saint Martins and Falmouth.

Wychwood’s Head, Jane Evans, has certainly made her mark during her time at Wychwood, with her proactive commitment to the ever-changing demands of education. The introduction of Wychwood’s Elective programme provided exciting new opportunities for pupils across wide and diverse learning experiences beyond the traditional curriculum. The elective programme empowered pupils to choose what they would like to part take in and allowed them to explore new and captivating material. The programme is designed to nurture higher order skills such as metacognition and critical thinking, essential for holistic development in today’s dynamic world.

Pastoral care is at the core of Wychwood’s ethos, and boarders are provided with a secure, safe, and happy community where they can learn effectively, enjoy social time with their friends and have the freedom to grow and mature as individuals. Form tutors and progress tutors are in place to support pupils and monitor academic progress as well as their pastoral care.
