Time2Bounce Fundays run every Monday (except Bank Holidays) at Fleetwood Community Centre in Didcot.  Great value too!


 

Cranford School welcome families on Monday mornings for a Parent and Toddler Activity Group.   The stay and play session is held in the Reception classroom, hosted by the expert EYFS team! To join the Stay & Play toddler sessions please book your place in advance. These FREE sessions are open all.


Bramblers Forest School make time to play outside, learn about the plants and wildlife we see, and enjoy being a part of the natural world all around us. Classes for preschoolers from walking to age five run on term-time Mondays from September in Benson, and are full of natural crafts, messy science and hands-on learning about the natural environment. Holiday specials run for preschoolers and older children too.

Elite Youth Sports, our Soccer Tots programme is designed to introduce young children to the exciting world of football in a fun, structured, and engaging way. Catering for children aged 18 months to 4 years old, our sessions focus on developing basic motor skills, coordination, and an early understanding of football through playful, age-appropriate activities.

Cranford House Toddler Stay & Play Sessions (Moulsford)

Each week, there will be activity stations for your son or daughter which also include a programme of special sessions in Music, Art, French, Cooking, Science and PE hosted by our specialist teachers. Come along, enjoy a tea or coffee and a chat with other parents, whilst your child discovers new toys, makes new friends and is able to explore the wonderful outside learning Reception area.

Parks & Outdoor Spaces in and around Didcot

Enjoy a sunny day or wrap up warm and get out for some fresh air.  We only include places we’ve been and can personally recommend so will keep adding places on a regular basis.

  • Take a walk, cycle or scoot along the Didcot-Upton Art Trail. This car-free stretch is about 3 miles long. At the end, you’ll find Upton playground which is better suited to older children, although there is a small additional playground by the village hall with equipment for younger children.
  • Moulsford Playpark (about 6 miles away) – a natural wooden playground with some unusual and fun equipment
  • Benson Play Park is amazing with a great area for little ones.
  • Abbey Meadows Playground (Abingdon) –  A £320,000 investment has created a brilliant playground for kids of all ages in a beautiful setting by the river.
  • The Earth Trust Centre (about 3 miles away) – there are great family events, walks and courses throughout the year, including lambing weekends.
  • Millets Farm Centre (Frilford) – free to visit and play in the playground, feed the ducks and see a few animals.  They also have regular events running during school holidays and PYO in the summer.

Days Trips close to Didcot & Wallingford

  • The Living Rainforest – great for a cold day as it’s warm and tropical inside.  If your little one is walking, bring wellies as puddles form on the pathways which are great to splash in but not if they get their shoes completely soaked!
  • Beale Park – with a lovely little train, plenty of animal, a play park and paddling pool, this makes a great day out.
  • The ball run at Basildon Park is a good value trip if you have National Trust membership. It’s not too far away and during the warmer months they have brilliant ball runs and plenty of space for picnics.
